The ongoing war in Sudan since April 2023 has had catastrophic implications across various sectors, creating a volatile security, political, economic, and humanitarian situation.
The conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continues to escalate in numerous regions. In Khartoum State, the cities of Bahri and Omdurman remain engulfed in fighting, with SAF airstrikes leading to civilian casualties. Battles persist in the southern and eastern parts of Gezira State, while RSF movements are evident in southern Sennar State, the Blue Nile region, and southern parts of White Nile State. In Darfur, the situation remains dire, particularly in El Fasher, where RSF artillery shelling and SAF air raids in Nyala have caused extensive damage to civilian areas.
Below is the November 2024 report compiled by the Youth Citizens Observers Network (YCON) relying on primary and secondary data gathered by its local observers distributed across all states of Sudan, it reflects on social, economic and political implication of war, in addition to asylum and displacement movements, and the condition of the displaced and refugees in camps, from November 27 to December 26, in addition to our recommendations (we youth) to help resolve the Sudanese crisis.
