YCON Sudan’s work monitoring ceasefire violations by the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) was featured by The Observers – France 24. This coverage highlights how our citizen observer networks track violations in real time, document their impact on communities, and provide verified data to inform advocacy and calls for accountability.

YCON Sudan, together with The Carter Center, was invited to brief the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Conflict & Stabilization Operations on the ongoing war in Sudan. This engagement highlighted the critical reporting and insights of Sudanese civil society leaders, informing U.S. efforts to support civilian protection, end the conflict, and ensure that Sudanese citizens can shape their political future.

YCON Sudan leaders met with U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, ahead of a UN Security Council meeting on the ongoing conflict in Sudan. The meeting highlighted YCON’s efforts to advocate for peace, justice, and the protection of civilians, as well as the role of civil society in pushing for accountability and sustainable solutions in the country.
