The war has been continuing in Sudan since April 2023, and is having implications on the political, social, economic and humanitarian conditions. Meanwhile, positions on resuming negotiations are still divergent, as Malik Agar, Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan, announced that the army did not agree to go to the Jeddah podium, which was scheduled to resume its sessions on June 1, 2024, according to expectations. The battles continue on several fronts. Around El Fasher city, the fights led to the killing of the commander of the Rapid Support Forces in the Central Darfur sector, Major General Ali Yaqoub Jibril.
Below is a report compiled by YCON relying on primary and secondary data gathered by its local observers distributed across all states of Sudan. It reflects on the social, economic and political implications of war, in addition to the asylum and displacement movements, and the conditions of the displaced and refugees in camps, in the period from the beginning of June 2024 to June 26, 2024, as well as our recommendations - we, the youth - to help resolve the Sudanese crisis.
