The war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continues to cast a shadow over the situation in Sudan. Government moves continued to restore some government offices to work in areas retaken by the army, particularly in Bahri locality in Khartoum state. While battles continue in many axes in the states of Sennar, Al-Jazeera and North Darfur, with the continuation of mobilization operations, whether in the areas controlled by the army or the areas controlled by the Rapid Support Forces.
During October 2024, the RSF intensified the targeting of civilians in Al-Jazeera State through a series of practices, including arbitrary arrests, beatings, looting and theft, as well as systematic killings and mass killings. These acts not only represent a flagrant violation of human rights, but also demonstrate a systematic pattern of violence aimed at terrorizing societies and weakening their social fabric.
Below is a report compiled by YCON relying on primary and secondary data gathered by its local observers distributed across all states of Sudan. It reflects on the social, economic and political implications of war, in addition to the asylum and displacement movements, and the conditions of the displaced and refugees in camps, in the period from to September 27 to October 26, 2024, in addition to our recommendations - we youth - to help solve the Sudanese crisis.
