September 2024 Report

The war continues to cast a shadow over the situation in Sudan. Politically, government moves towards supporting its position continued. The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, participated in the work of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, in which he met with several leaders and officials. In September 2024, the Rapid Support Forces announced the formation of civilian governments in East Darfur and West Kordofan states. While the humanitarian and human rights situation continues to deteriorate in all states of Sudan, the state of emergency and political activities in military-controlled areas continue to be restricted, while chaos continues in RSF-controlled areas. Below is a report compiled by YCON relying on primary and secondary data gathered by its local observers distributed across all states of Sudan. It reflects on the social, economic and political implications of war, in addition to the asylum and displacement movements, and the conditions of the displaced and refugees in camps, in the period from to August 27 to September 26, 2024, in addition to our recommendations - we youth - to help solve the Sudanese crisis.
