
On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, the Sudanese Army Air Force launched an air strike on the city of El-Daein, the capital of East Darfur State, and hits gatherings and civilian institutions and shells landed in a street full of traffic.
One of the strikes hit El-Daein Teaching Hospital, and the explosion occurred in the southwestern part of the hospital, where the offices of the Medical Commission are located, as well as the maternity ward, and on the south of it is El Khansaa Primary School for Girls, which shelters displaced people coming from El Fasher, and is separated from the hospital by a secondary transportation street. As a result of the strike, there was complete destruction of the buildings of the Medical Commission and the escorts lounge, and partial destruction of the obstetrics and gynecology ward.
