In response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan's states and regions, the Youth Citizens Observers Network (YCON) conducted an extensive assessment of the living and health conditions of both resident and displaced citizens, both within shelters and in host communities, during the period from July to August 2024. This report offers an in-depth analysis of the challenges faced by individuals affected by the armed conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) that erupted on 15 April 2023. It focuses on the adequacy of humanitarian aid and its accessibility to displaced populations, as well as the overall health situation in conflict-affected states.
The report concludes with recommendations aimed at enhancing the living and health conditions of displaced people, as well as improving the coordination and impact of humanitarian aid efforts. By analyzing the current efforts and their effectiveness, the report offers strategic insights for strengthening support to displaced communities and ensuring that humanitarian assistance is maximized to address their pressing needs.
